Humility

Standard

Humility is defined as the quality of being modest and respectful

It is seen as a virtue, being connected with egolessness

So keeping that in mind, let’s see what some people think of themselves……

David Lee Roth

“I’m not conceited.  Conceit is a fault and I have no faults”

Michael Flatley

“I’m not an egomaniac like a lot of people say.  But I am the world’s best dancer, that’s for sure!”

Dennis Rodman

“I say I’m Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin all wrapped up into one.

If I die early….I’ll be just like those guys.”

Elton John

“I’m the Connie Francis of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

Mark McGwire

“I mean, it’s unheard of for somebody to hit 70 home runs, so I’m like in awe of myself right now!”

Linda Evangelista

“It was God who made me so beautiful.  If I weren’t, then I’d be a teacher.”

Marion Barry

“I am a great mayor; I am an upstanding Christian man; I am an intelligent man: I am a deeply educated man:

I am a humble man.”

Here is one person the aforementioned were never in the room with…..

Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined.

Reality is often contrasted with what is imaginary, delusional, only in the mind, dreams, what is abstract, what is false, or what is fictional.

The truth refers to what is real, while falsity refers to what is not.

  1. good post. Of course I don’t think any of these people would realize how they sound. But that’s what makes them, ummmm special. 😉

  2. Thank you for the reality check…I have just come back from California…Texas is reality for me or should I say south Texas is humility for me. Maybe I should just have more wine… This is an excellent post!
