The Bengal Lounge is quite a proper sort of place to sip on a cocktail, not at all like the casual sports bars found in the U.S.

  1. Yes, a great post! Quite a lounge – exact opposite of a sports bar! Ever so elegant and regal. Your drink and meal seemed perfect for the setting. The Fairmont Empress has everything – thanks for sharing it with us. Have a good weekend!

  2. It’s been forty years since I had a drink in the Bengal Lounge! Back then I thought it was the most exotic of places. I see it has been refreshed and the tiger skins brushed into raj glory but it still transports us into the past. The perfect place for this bon vivant to celebrate his SIXTIETH BIRTHDAY.
